The land is changing—and youth need the knowledge and skills to stay safe, adapt, and lead with confidence.
Northern Climate Resilience is a hands-on, land-based program where youth learn directly from Elders and experienced outfitters. Through real-world learning on the tundra, ice, and under the sky, participants build practical survival skills, environmental awareness, and respect for the land.
At the advanced level, participants collaborate with Aqsarniit 103 participants, who document the experience through photography and storytelling—capturing life on the land while learning from Elders and outfitters.
Blending traditional knowledge with modern safety practices, this program teaches youth how to read conditions, make informed decisions, and respond to changing environments.
Level 1 – Environmental Awareness
Learn to read the land, weather, and surroundings.
Level 2 – Applied Land Skills
Practice navigation, teamwork, and survival techniques.
Level 3 – Resilience & Leadership
Train alongside Elders and outfitters while working with Aqsarniit 103 participants to document and share land-based experiences.
